Today your recipe and your challenge are all about quieting your mind by focusing on your breath. As you quiet your mind you become more grounded in your connection with other humans around you. Enjoy the Challenge.

TODAY'S RECIPE

Three times today I dive into the awareness of my breath for 15 minutes and my mind becomes quiet.


TODAY'S CHALLENGE

Set your alarm clock ahead of time to be with yourself for 15 minutes. Yes, the world is asking a lot from you. But you deserve to meet with yourself.


When the alarm goes off, honor that appointment with yourself to go within and focus on your breathing.


All this means is that for 15 minutes you will make the conscious relaxed effort to follow each inhalation and exhalation of your breath.


Do not control the breath. Breathe normal. Simply use your attention and awareness to follow the breath as it comes in and goes out.


You will experience distracting thoughts. Do not fight them or they will become stronger. Simply bring your awareness and attention back on your breath.


Each time it goes out smile at the breath to activate your happy brain chemicals or hormones.


You are not trying to accomplish anything. This is you simply enjoying your breath and your time with yourself.


Set a timer on 15 minutes. Make sure the beep is soft and gentle.


Repeat the experience 3 times today. It's recommended to do it once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening.
